Jatuporns exclusiv interview in khaosod ist verschwunden
aber seine Aussagen in diesen Artikel integriert:
UDD chairman Jatuporn Prompan suggested that it was in fact opponents of Redshirts who created the campaign to lure Redshirts into an act of provocation that could be used as the grounds to file more charges against Yingluck.

“I insist that the campaign is not arranged by the UDD. It was arranged by opponents of Ms. Yingluck, who want to use Redshirts as bait,” Jatuporn said Saturday.

“It’s a trap,” Jatuporn told Khaosod. “Redshirts can love and care for Ms. Yingluck, but don’t be dumb. To love someone, you have to be rational, and avoid becoming a burden for the person you love. Otherwise, it would just lead to problem and disaster for the person you love, because they are waiting to seize on this kind of thing to bully the former prime minister.”

THE authorities are closely following the moves of red shirts in different provinces ahead of a planned symbolic show of support for former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra scheduled for tomorrow.
However, some red-shirt leaders denied yesterday that planned gatherings of red shirts in different provinces had any political implication.

Earlier, there was a campaign on social media calling for Yingluck's supporters to wear red on November 1 to give her moral support, as she faces legal action over her government's corruption-plagued rice subsidy scheme.

Former premier Yingluck posted a photo on her Facebook page yesterday of her with a new book written by her brother, the ex-PM, entitled "Thaksin Shinawatra: Life and Work".

"Let me hug this book in place of him. I miss my brother. Don't forget to find this book for your reading, and you will know why I want to hug this book," she wrote.

Yingluck has no specific plans for tomorrow, but a source close to her said she might go shopping.

The Nation November 7, 2015 1:00 am
The Criminal Court on Friday sentenced two red-shirt guards to 43 years each after convicting them of involvement in the firing of an M79 grenade at a rally of the People's Democratic Reform Committee in 2014.
The court found Narongsak Plaiaram and Pirapong Sinthusonthichart guilty of collaborating in firing an M79 grenade at a PDRC rally in front of the Shinawatra III building on March 7, 2014.

The grenade missed the rally site but hit a pillar and a tree, causing damage worth Bt20,000. The two were security guards of the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship when they were arrested.

The two defendants confessed during the investigation, the court was told.

Narongsak confessed to picking up the M79 grenade and launcher from Imperial Lat Phrao's car park, the court was told.

The court also heard that Narongsak drove Yongyut Boondee to fire the grenade. Yongyut was arrested last year and is facing trial in another case.

Pirapong confessed to calling Narongsak to pick up the grenade and the launcher.

The court ruled that the statements of state witnesses were convincing enough to substantiate the charges that the two suspects had illegal firearms in their possession.

Teilweise!
Red-shirt leader offers to work with govt

THE NATION November 13, 2015 1:00 am
A RED-SHIRT leader in Ubon Ratchathani yesterday promised to work with the government in restoring peace in society and helping to develop the country.
Jamroonsak Jantaramai, who is affiliated with the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), made the vow while meeting PM Prayut Chan-o-cha during his official visit to the province yesterday.

The man also said he was persuading other red-shirt leaders in many provinces to help the government in those areas.

"The political conflict has not helped with the country's development. Even if there was an election now, the conflict would still exist and the country would not move forward," Jamroonsak said. "If things continue like this, the problem will not be over in the next 20 years."

He called on those involved in the conflict to compromise and "meet half-way".
he red-shirt leader said General Prayut should be given time to finish his work. He added that the prime minister, who led the coup in May last year while serving as the Army chief, has obtained more acceptance from the public now.

He said that he had no concern that his fellow UDD leaders would be angry with him for voicing his support of General Prayut.

The UDD and its leaders are supporters of the Pheu Thai Party, which led the government before the military coup. Many of the UDD leaders are Pheu Thai politicians.

Jamroonsak asked to meet the prime minister in person during his visit to Ubon Ratchathani's Don Mod Daeng subdistrict to meet with local villagers.

General Prayut told the red-shirt leader that he should help the government. "You should have pity for ordinary people. You [political rivals] fight against each other but it's the ordinary people who suffer," he said. Jamroonsak responded that he was ready to help the government with national development.
Alles Richtig!

Although Jakrapob Penkair may have disappeared from the Thai political scene many years ago, his name still resounds. This confirms his status as a 'political man' whose latest achievement is to co-found 'Seri Thai'--an organisation whose mandate is to fight the junta’s National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) from outside the country. It is the task which has prompted another round of surveillance on him by the authorities.

Jakrapob has led a life of a great variety. After acquiring his PhD from Johns Hopkins University in the United States, his career has ranged from the private sector to the civil service in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; from being a writer to plunging into the game of politics as Government Spokesperson in more than one administration. Not long after joining the Thaksin Shinawatra’s Thai Rak Thai Party, however, he was charged with lèse majesté after sharing his views on the patronage system in Thai society with foreign journalists. After that, he was involved in establishing the main faction of the anti-establishment red-shirt Democratic Alliance Against Dictatorship (DAAD) before it evolved into the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD). In 2009 he decided to leave Thailand and since then has lived in exile.

It has been six years since he started this self-imposed exile. However, he does not want to define himself as a refugee. On the contrary, he calls himself an activist for democracy in exile. Regarding him as a politician of pragmatism who adapted to the turns of the political tide to survive change, Prachatai interviewed Jakrapob Penkair on the current political situation. Let's find out his views on Thai politics at present as well as the steps taken by the Pheu Thai Party (PTP), the UDD or the Red-Shirt movement. Find out what it is like to be an exile in the current context.

Nach einem LM Kommentar im FCCT liess ihn Thaksin fallen (just for show)

Offensichtlich will Thaksin ihn wieder ins Geschäft bringen.

Militaerclowns.
Wer will die denn parodieren?
Wer kann da noch was bloederes draufsetzen?
Mr Jatuporn ... echoed the UUD's claim that the alleged plot was a fabrication. "There is no need for anyone to do anything. The government is already collapsing. Nothing can cover up for the Rajabhakti corruption," he said.

Struessche! Kamelle!

Was ist nun Sache:

Natuerlich haben da einige Rothemden Statisten geplant etwas
Terror zu veranstalten.
Muss man dies ernst nehmen?
Prayuth tut es.

Ist es wirklich gefaehrlich fuer ihn?
NEIN!

Er muss ganz Anderes fuerchten.
Eine grosse Koalition der Verbrecher in Polizei und Militaer
koennte mit seinem "Aufraeumen" sehr schnell
mittels eines Gegenputsches schluss machen.

Und seine grottenschlechte PR und Behandlung
des Rajabhakti Korruptionsskandaelchens
mit Persilschein fuer die beteiligten Militaers
gibt Thaksins Hasspredigern neues Leben

kein Wort ueber Yinglucks vorgebliche EU Parlamentseinladung schrieb
bei diesem Thema ganz vorn dabei ist.
http://www.khaosodenglish.com/detail.ph ... 6&section=
Yesterday Redshirt leader Weng Tojirakarn dismissed the story as a “farce.” Today, another high-ranking redshirt, Worachai Hema, said it was absurd.

“Let me ask you, how can possibly harm or do anything to Gen. Prayuth? He has troops of an entire army. He has armored vehicles that cost tens of million baht each. Who will dare harm Gen. Prayuth?” said Worachai, who also served as an MP in the toppled government.

He said the Redshirt movement has nothing to gain from violence.

“The [Redshirt movement] has been insisting all along that we uphold nonviolent methods and democracy,” Worachai said. “Those who use violence in politics will eventually lose to the power of people who love peace.”
Gen. Prayuth told reporters today he’s undeterred by the alleged threat and will continue visiting northeastern provinces for government affairs.

“I can visit any area. I’m already risking my life these days anyway. I’m not afraid. Don’t you think I’m not risking my life now?” Prayuth said at Government House.
Ich hoffe er ueberlebts!

The United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship chairman Jatuporn Prompan and co-leader Nattawut Saikuar on Sunday vowed to go ahead with their visit to Rajabhakti Park in Hua Hin on Monday to check on alleged corruption in the project.

The UDD leaders confirmed their intention after complaining of soldiers being seen at the entrance to their housing estate since early Sunday morning.

Mr Jatuporn said the soldiers’ presence showed that the National Council for Peace and Order intended to thwart or obstruct him and Mr Nattawut from travelling to Rajabhakti Park on Monday. He was speaking on the “Mong Klai” (Look Beyond) programme broadcast on YouTube on Sunday.

He warned of more public doubts regarding the park and other negative consequences if the NCPO barred them from making the trip to Hua Hin, and urged Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha to instead help them to go there.

He said he and Mr Nattawut would pay their respects to the giant statues of the former kings and asserted there would be no mobilisation of red shirt supporters, and that the trip had no hidden political agenda.

Mr Nattawut posted a message on his Facebook claiming four military vehicles arrived at his housing estate at 5am on Sunday, but vowed to continue the Hua Hin trip.

“I confirm that I will travel to Rajabhakti Park regardless of what they are going to do with me,” he wrote.

Activist’s Mother Catapulted into Political Fame and Fray

BANGKOK — Being the mother of a prominent student activist is tough. You get calls from the junta using carrot and stick to ask about his whereabouts, you get summoned, and when those tactics don’t work, you’re accused of being paid off by some politician or another.

This is what 39-year-old Patnaree Arunyapun has faced since her son, 23-year-old Sirawith Seritiwat, announced Dec. 4 he would lead a group to visit a scandal-plagued park built by the army. And despite her insistence she is apolitical and too busy making ends meet, the sudden pressure has pushed her to defend her son, criticize the junta and becoming a political player and public figure in her own right.

The Dec. 7 rail trip to Rajabhakti Park in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan didn’t get very far after the military disconnected the activists’ car from the locomotive. The park was ordered closed and 36 people were arrested and briefly detained, including Sirawith. But the pressure and intimidation began raining down on his mother three days earlier, while he was in hiding, with a visit by several soldiers to her home to ask where Sirawith was at the time.

“It was slightly intimidating,” Patnaree, a widow with three children, said of her initial reaction.

They come and took pictures of her place, including family photos held in a frame. The soldiers asked her to talk her son out of any plan to publicly scrutinise the park, where seven giant statues of past kings have been erected.

“I have never been involved with politics,” said Patnaree, a working-class housemaid who said she takes any odd jobs for money, including cutting mango tree branches. “My concern for him was as a mother.”

Soldiers dispatched by the military junta first tried to persuade her by offering to fix the leaking roof of her single-story, dilapidated house she rents in the capital’s Minburi district and promising scholarships for her children.

It didn’t work. Patnaree said she respected her son’s decision and political stance, and told them it would be impossible to talk him out of political activism anyhow. Things became more tense when the junta representatives told her they could not guarantee what might happen to her son and the home improvement and scholarship offers were off the table after she started writing on Facebook to criticize the perceived threats.

“Soldiers came to visit our house late at night,” she wrote Dec. 5. “This is not comforting and makes me stressed. Soldiers came to take photo of my ID card, the framed family photo too. Can these really help them to find my son? Oops!!! Puzzled.”

“Soldiers came to my house and asked why my son is so stubborn? If something happens, don’t blame us, they said. Is this a threat?” she wrote.

In response, she said soldiers asked her why she had become “provocative” and told her to post only truthful information - charges Patnaree rejects.

Unwanted Fame

In a matter of days, Patnaree went from private citizen to public symbole. After being summoned Dec. 6 by the junta, seen near her son Dec. 8 at an impromptu Thammasat University press conference, and making many friends and enemies on Facebook, Patnaree said she has become stressed out by the vitriol from some who criticize her on social media.

Some comments are simply too lewd for her, Patnaree said, citing one accusing her of being both Sirawith’s mother and lover. A few others accuse her of being anti-monarchy.

“It’s just too much,” said Patnaree, who is plump and resembles her now-famous son.

Differences remain, however. While she admits that her activist son, now a senior political science student at Thammasat University, has been interested in politics and democracy since he was in high school, Patnaree said politics could not be more removed from her daily struggle to provide for her family, especially after the premature death of her husband, a bus driver, four years ago.

“Let me say frankly: I have no concern for politics,” she said. “Whoever becomes prime minister, I’m still going to be poor. It’s a waste of time that I would rather use to earn a living.”

She said the past week however has taught her that she can’t continue to be apolitical or indifferent, as her son was dragged further into the political limelight. She gets nasty inquiries from junta representatives, who want to know why she smiled in front of a news camera or appeared chummy with reporters, or worse, if she has taken money from politicians for what she is doing.

“This is hurtful,” said Patnaree, who insisted she works hard to earn a very modest income to feed her children and to look after her ailing mother. They’re facing imminent eviction from their home, as she said the owner of the house they’re renting failed to pay his mortgage and has lost it to the bank. They essentially squatters until that time.

Although Patnaree was promised she would no longer be “frightened” after deciding to meet the junta with her son and a lawyer on Wednesday, she said her life has already changed.

By defending and protecting her son as he vowed to continue probing the scandal-hit Rajabhakti Park, which he vows to visit by year’s end, she’s been drawn into indirectly defending and protecting a rejuvenated pro-democracy movement.

“Life has changed so much,” she said. “Many people recognize me now, but when I’m out on the streets I don’t quite know if they look at me positively or negatively.”
